The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise was chartered in August, 2001 and held its charter dinner on September 10, 2001, the evening before the devastating events now known to the world as "9/11".  That

infamous day sealed a bond with our 42 charter members and all new members inducted since that day.

     As a fledgling club, we were thrust into service and co-produced an ambitious concert fundraiser including twelve local bands over twelve hours held to benefit the stricken families.  Aside from the camaraderie established during planning and subsequently the event itself, we found that we could work hard to benefit the community and the world and also have a blast doing it.

     That was the day we added a fifth question to the four-way test...  "is it FUN"?  The answer is always in the affirmative!
